European Commission’s research and development programmes aim to support research actors all over Europe and beyond, in order to co-finance research, technological development and demonstration projects

 

Implementing tougher regulations on the protection of the environment is one of the key EC priorities

 

A Consortium of European SMEs was created (Lithuania, Spain, UK, Poland) aiming at developing a new technique that would be highly efficient both upstream and downstream

 

The project SORBENT was proposed for funding:  To develop and provide to the soil remediation market the cost-effective and highly efficient soil remediation technique applied in-situ to remove historical oil contamination and accidentally or intentionally deposited oil
